Some of us know that in addition to the Perth mint in Australia, there is also the Royal Australian Mint which produuces most of the circulating coinage of the country. They also have a few interesting commems, and these three i picked up from the "Royal Scandinavian Mint" for a few dollars. They are Cu/Al $1 coins from the Air Series, a Major Mitchell Cockatoo, a Sacred Kingfisher, and a Grey-Headered Flying Fox. These coins are slightly smaller than a US quarter. They are painted coins but , especially the Cockatoo, show some dithering in the image. I still think they are cool and I was only able to get 3 of 6 as the first three have become scarce. They have an unlimited mintage, so no rarity here :)

These are interesting although not sure if I like them (I like the bat). They are printed: the dot matrix is from 4-color offset printing.
