Hey all, My mother in law gave me her "collection" of US pennies. I have: 1928 1929 1935 1939 1940 X 2 1941 1941 1944 1945 X 2 1946 1947 s 1948 D 1948 1949 1951 1953 D 1955 D 1955 1956 D 1959 D 1959 1960 D 1960 1961 1961 D 1962 D 1962 1963 1964 D 1964 X 2 1965 1966 1967 1968 D 1968 X 2 1969 D 1970 1970 D 1971 D 1971 1972 D 1972 1973 D 1973 1974 D 1974 1975 1976 1976 D 1977 1978 D 1978 1979 1980 1981 1982 X 2 1983 1984 1985 1988 1989 1991 2000 Few..ok, that's a helluva lot of typing LOL. Few questions. The coins are in a "Offical Whitman Coin Folder" which is blue (and you just push the coins in and out of slots. I know it says "official" like it's important, but the cardboard blue doesn't seem right to me. Also, are there any coins in there worth anything? I checked for double dates, nada. The only thing for one of them is the 1949. The "4" looks completely filled up. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Susan
Welcome: You are right the folder is something anyone can buy at a coin shop for about $4. Each coin is worth alittle---we can't say how much untill we know the grades but I would say at the least the Wheat Cents---1909-1958 are worth about 5 cents each. Speedy
Maybe....maybe not---that is why I posted about the grades---some of the Wheat Cents if in AU or BU could be worth a few dollars each. Speedy
Thanks! I really don't have a grasp on "grading" coins yet LOL I have a digital camera but I tried to take some pics and they turned out really crappy so I think it's time for an upgrade. Thanks for the heads up on the price. I didn't think it was worth too much, but thought I'd make sure.
