Obverse handwritten cursive word "Liberty." I have one where the "e" is closed (almost like an "o"), as opposed to the others I've compared it with. Maybe a dirty die? Something I should get checked out?

I am trying to post a picture.. I do have a digital camera, but I can't figure out how to attach it... I guess I have to upload it to a website first?

Either put it on a website and post the URL, or simply follow these directions.

If you mean should you pay a third party to "grade" it, I'd say probably not.

Filled dies, die chips, and other minor blemishes, on modern coins, are very common, and aren't even considered "errors" by most collectors and dealers, and are not culled from production runs by Mint inspectors.

It's an interesting find, but not a big money item.
Still like to see a picture, though.

Here is a picture. It does seem like it's some additional material (die chip/fill?). Sorry... still learning the lingo. Thanks!

    Probably nothing unusual.
The results of a worn die.
    Nice picture!

I agree with Jody on this one this is very common it seems in all the westward journey nickels. It is very hard to find higher grade coins in this series most have bag marks or some kind of strike problems. That is to bad, because I like the obverse design of the 2005 they should have left that design on 2006. Now the 2006 is having the same problems as the westward journey has.
