I bought this coin on eBay. I knew it was misidentified and now I'm trying to figure out what it is. I read the date as 1223 + 28, making it 1834. The seller said it was a 20 para. In Krause I see for Turkey the only 20 para at that time were silver, and this is a copper or bronze type metal. I looked at Egypt, and there is a 20 para from that year but the photo doesn't seem to match. Mine has a wreath around the date and that doesn't seem to be on the Egyptian coin. The Egyptian coin it says is billon. I'm not sure what that is but I feel like it is sort of silver, but I may be wrong. Any ideas?

It really doesn't look like silver to me.

It is a billon with a low content of a silver.

For example: it's a silver (billon) coin too. But it looks like a copper.
