Hello. Long time since my last post but this is the first place I come to get some coin information. Well here is my story

I have 4 of the 20th anniversary silver eagle sets still in the original mint sealed box. I really do not have any place to safely store these and now I believe I would like to sell these. These are not the first strike eligible sets and really hate to get rid of them but my home was recently broke into and a few items were stolen. Unfortunatley it seems one has to have everyting they have locked up all the time these days. I really do not have any place to lock these up and it is time to do something with these sets.

Anyhow what are these sets worth and where would be a good place to sell them. I called Littleton and said they were interested. I believe they understood what I had but not really sure. I have read while littleton is expensive they pay good. I was told by them to send these sets to them and they would give me a quote. On secound thought , am not sure why they would want me to send them this box. is. All I would do is send them a big brown taped up box which they may open. I have been trying to keep these sets in the orginal box for 6 years now. It is just time to do something with them.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Wanna buy a bridge, too?
Why not put them up on ebay? You'll certainly get more than Littleton will pay you.

I meant to add that I do not do ebay. Never have and probably never will. This will probably be a one shot deal. eBay is a good idea but just not my thing. I have a few coin sets that I will probably die with and these are in a safety deposit box and a rather small safe my grandfather left me. Just not enough room

Thanks for the advice it is appreciated. :)

There's a seller's forum/area below. You can place an ad for free. I've seen you post on here but it's been awhile, I take it you have never sold on this forum below. I suggest you start out small until people know who you are. I've sold a number of coins on here, gold coins too. Made some good friends too. Either that or pay somebody 15% to sell them for you. You can sell them yourself at a coin show too.

The completed lisiings on ebay seem to average about $350.00 per set. That should give you a pretty good price point and 1 which would enable you to sell them in a decent amount of time.
