1957 was the authorization year for that coin. The actual mintage year is in tiny numbers inside the six-pointed star on the reverse. Some of the 1958s have a "BA" there to commemorate the Barcelona Exposition. With a mintage of only 43,000, it's the most valuable of the series, but otherwise it's worth between 20¢ and $90. (If you post the mintage year, please do it in this thread and do not start another one.) By the way, the Peseta is the principal Spanish currency denomination, so a "$25 piece" would be a more accurate statement than "a quarter", of which the equivalent would be 25 centavos.
