Roosevelt dime: Is this a die chip? Or?

    Does anyone know what exactly is going on here with the reverse?
    I am fairly certain it is not PMD. Is this what is considered a die chip? It is raised however, so maybe that isn't the correct term.
    There is a pretty good size die crack as well, if that has anything to do with it.
    Any help appreciated.

    I'm not a big student on such processes, but seeing as it is raised I don't think a die chip is out of the question.

    Looks like it. Isn't this one of the ones you dipped?

    It sure is! Good eye. Obviously the crack or the chip were not even visible prior to dipping. Someone (maybe you) pointed out the crack in the dip thread.

    I remember pointing that out to ya! I still think it's a die crack/chip. :)
