Searched around $1k in halves today, sorry I can't remember... the first bank I stopped at I found a solid roll and a half of silver halves and I'm still in shock a bit. and I kept finding a few loose silver ones at the other banks I stopped in at too! So far, my yearly pay from my part time job (~24 hrs a week) is less than the value of the silver I've found from CRH. Oh, and I stopped at a coin shop and picked up those eagles for just under $30 each :p!

Nice finds, Pballer... I was in a similar boat as you before, but still made enough from working part-time that I was making more there... if you want to get more cash out of your 24 hours a week, wait tables or bartend, those are great part-time jobs if you just want money.

I found a 76 Kennedy today where his head and face are gold colour but nothing else. No mintmark. Does anyone know about this?

    $100 in halves: 02, 03, 04
    $100 in nickels: dateless buffalo, 42, 47-S, 47, 50, 54, 54-S, 57, 61

halfway through the box and the dateless buffalo is still the best thing I've found so far.

Are the NIFC halves worth keeping for any reason other than them being NIFC?

    Sounds painted.
...Nope. Lower mintages, but the vast majority survive in high-end uncirculated condition.

    Painted? people do this?

IDK about painting.. if so someone has a very steady hand. I'll upload a photo tomorrow but the bust is gold and the lines look perfect if it was painted

This is worthy of celebration. After five years and hundreds of rolls searched, I finally found a silver quarter from a roll! I bought 70 rolls of quarters the other day and focused on buying paper CWRs. The strategy paid off with this 1945S quarter. Also note the circularly ground Alaskan quarter.

Good to know. I just wanted to make sure since there was a small spot in my mind that said that NIFC stuff would be worth a lot solely because it was NIFC.

Also, finished the nickel box and found 2 39's, a 52-S and a 53 so not bad. I'm thinking of going and buying 4 boxes of cents to slowly go through and keep me busy next..

Even more slim and meager than usual

    6 rolls nickels
    6 rolls pennies

    56 95% copper pennies
    1955-D, 1957-D, 1958-P, 1958-D nickels

A lady came in the bank right after me with a couple of big bags of coins, her husband told her
to cash them in. They must have been to heavy for him, would liked to have searched them.
Anyway checked the magnetic strip after her dump and picked up 4 Canadian coibns and 1 Costa Rican coin.

Today i got a call from my brother who looks up to me. He said he found some rare coins. Of course i din't believe him, but it ended up that he went to the bank at my grandparents house and got some half dollars (10) he ended up finding 4 silver. Amazing, now he is bragging to me.:rollling:

3 boxes of halves yielded 1 x 1967. Seerms like each month starts off slowly.

Here is the picture of the coin I found on Monday. Notice the line where silver meets gold. Is this painted?
