So I've always thought about getting gloves for my raw mercs, but Every time I think about it I find they seem to be throw away. I'd much rather just have a single pair. Then when researching it seems a lot don't use them cause you lose tactile in your fingers. Then google recommended hand sanitizer because the alcohol not only cleans but sucks the oil out of your hands. Anyone else have any experience with using just hand sanitizer with then handling their coins?

I would never trust any chemical to be applied to my hands before handling coins. Sorry, just too much unknown. I believe a good soap and wash is about as good as you can get short of gloves.

Hand soap removes oil from your hands. That's why for people who hand wash dishes, they make soap that moisturizes your hands.

Just wash your hands good, hold your coin by the edges only, and you should be fine. Gloves are good for proofs or high grade coins where you don't want to risk getting a print on it.
