The two TCF banks I go to to dump didnt seem like they had halves, but I never thought to ask. I get my halves elsewhere though, so. I cant see why they wouldnt have at least some and it wouldnt hurt to ask as long as you have an account, though.

I have finsished the box of coins. All Hail to the Coin Gods. And to idiots who get their parent's stuff and don't know anything about coins.

    The results:

$8 Pennies: 432 wheat, mostly 40s/50s, couple dozen older, no rare dates. 16 steel 1943, 5 Indian, none rare.

$22 Nickles: 306 40s/50s, 93 War, 16 Buffalo, none rare, oldest 1919, all low grades

$65 Dimes: Jackpot. 448 Silver, 13 were Mercs, none rare, oldest 1925

$130 Quarters: 324 silver, 6 of those were Liberty 1926 oldest.

    $100 half dollars: 58 were 40%, 84 were 90%. Of those, 23 Franklin , 5 liberty. Oldest 1934.

So my second bonanza of luck/silver. STill need some Ps of the ATBs.

    Insane!
You're cents were 54.625% wheat or IHCs,

You're nickels were 23.98% Buffalo or War nickels,

    You're dimes were 68.96% silver,

    You're quarters were 62.31% silver

    You're halves were 71% silver
$3716.51 in silver according to coinflation.com
    or 135.19497 ozt.
    That's simply astounding!

Yeah, a 'friend'. One of those type who has a habit of calling every time they need something or have a problem. And he calls a lot. His father was not the nicest guy I ever met either, but what he didn't know about coins he made up with knowing about cars, the guy could fix anything.

And the ATBs, those holes in my album are annoying.

And pumpkinpie, thanks for the math. Most were in low grade conditions, fine for filling holes, but nothing worth sending in to have professionally graded

Did 6 boxes of dimes today, got 10 roosies and 1 '45 Merc in XF. Most of the silver came from two boxes which gave up 4 each. Three had 1 each, and one was a skunk.

2 boxes of nickels only gave up a '43 War... seems like skunk boxes of nickels are becoming far more common. :(
