    Comment And Response Section

Comment: (About the previous spin video, uploaded from historic Carson City Mint & Museum)... Really! Got to tell me more about that! Pictures! (Softmentor, Post #423)

Response: Glad you saw my 'tease'. Indeed, I spent the day at the Nevada State Museum located inside the historic Carson City Mint, and intentionally uploaded the video from that location. I've created an album from my visit to the birthplace of the CC Mint mark, and I will upload photos from the visit as time permits. For now, there's only a couple of images, uploaded as another 'tease'.

    Here's one:

Follow Up: I'm even thinking of adding a 'Contest Within A Contest' based on images in this new Carson City Mint Album. Check it daily, at this link...

Comment: This coin arrived even better than I thought. It brought the biggest smile to my face when I unwrapped it. It isn't actually graded yet but I listed the grade... BSGS MS70... I hope it will earn. (Camlov2, Post 426)

Response: Indeed, the 'Cracked Skull' Peace Dollar would grade highly under the BS Grading scale. This abused lady needs some love, and I'm glad she found it in your adoration. Poor old girl was cowering in the corner of my junk box, under the flashy smile of another winner's 2005 Sacagawea Dollar coins. Thanks for your adoption.

Comment: I received my prize today! (Uncirculated 1955 Silver coins). It's great! I like the coins a lot. It is only the second Franklin I've owned, I'm going to have to buy more of them. (Animosity, Post #439)

Response: Glad you like the coins, especially the big, beautiful half dollar. Franklin Half Dollars are a great series to collect. With only 35 coins in the set (not including proofs), this is an affordable and available set to complete, impressive in quality of coins and quality of 'stories' to go with the coins. Did you know that Benjamin Franklin lobbied to make the Turkey our national bird, instead of the Eagle? Franklin didn't have much use for the Eagle, and the only reason even a tiny eagle was added to the reverse of the Franklin Half Dollar is because an Eagle was required by law. I could go on and on with Benjamin Franklin stories. My suggestion: Do some research and put together 35 Franklin 'stories' -- one for each coin in a set -- and your collection will be a real 'winner' in the eyes of non-collectors as well as those with an appreciation of things numismatic.
