In case, with paperwork and all unmolested in plastic air-tite type cases. Just bullion or what? I also bought about 20 other various dutch silver ducats. Sorry about no pics yet and all caps.
Without knowing exactly what you are talking about it's kind of hard to answer your question. I assume you are talking about coins like this one ?
Value silver ducatons I just looked up the value of the seperate pieces, since the set is not registered in the reference catalogue of the Nederlands (Muntalmanak). Each piece has a catalog value around 35 euro (±44 USD).
The pieces from the current series, by the way, cost €48.95 each if you buy them from the mint ... Christian
Let me give you an example of why I estimated the value the way I did. Back in Dec. of '04 I bought a 3 coin set. The set contained the 2 ducat gold (7gm), 1 ducat gold (3.5gm), and 1 ducat silver. The silver ducat is the one in the pic I posted. I paid $145 for the set. At the time, gold was $400/oz. Do the math. Point is, regardless of what the catalogs say or what the mint originally sold them for, on the open market they usually sell for much less.
There is a guide written in the dutch language that lists the pieces. I saw it. I just don't know what it means. They seem really nice.
