Carson City mint mark

Looking to add an example of a coin with a CC mintmark to my slowly growing collection. Most of my coins are dollars and halves.

What would be a good coin to search for that would be more a reasonably priced example of a CC minted coin....???

some of the CC quarters and dimes are not bad at all.

 

Since your collection is mostly dollars and halves, the 1882-CC is the least expensive of the entire Morgan series.

'76-CC and '77-CC Seated dimes are probably going to be your best bet. You can purchase them in VG-and-under grades for around $20.

1882, 1883, and 1884 CC Morgans are the least expensive Morgans with the CC mintmark.

 

In half dollars the most common are the 75, 76, and 77 CC.
