Can someone tell me what is going on with this 82P Roosevelt dime? It looks like Roosevelt has a huge goiter on the neck on the obverse and another giant bubble on the reverse above the "ONE" in the "ONE DIME". Normally I would think PMD but I photographed the coin without rotation and there is no impact mark on the opposite side of these large bubbles in the coin where it might have been bumped out by a punch or something, instead there is no dent at all on the opposite sides. Has anyone seen this before?
Pmd.... It is heat damage, precise and intense, like you'd see from a torch. Here's a link to a thread I started about a similar coin, and some pics below.
I usually burn my paper trash and this is how they look after i find them in the ashes later on. the heat builds up between the clad layers and makes bubbles between the layers of metal.
