The front appears to have some sort of Sanskrit writing, when I have time i'll get a picture of the front as well.
I actually have on of these somewhere, so to answer your question, yes, I've seen one of those before edit: Were you wondering what it was?
well, i have this buddy, he has all these weird coins, and sell disc golf discs, so i trade him for the ones that look strange, obviously i got ripped off on this set, because i generally sell the discs at a reasonable price of 5.00 dollars each, and the lama coin along with the dragon coins were not a good trade, i think if i trade him in the future, im gonna stick to us coins if he offers em up ever.. but thanx for letting me know i lost three dollars, everything helps..
Again, selling on eBay may help you regain your lost money plus it may make you a few extra bucks. What we consider of no value because they are plentiful, some people in the far off reaches of the planet may have a difficult time obtaining these due to the lack of coin dealers in their area. I have sold lots of regular issue coins at $2.00 to $4.00 for a set of 15 coins per auction to people in rural areas.
Just out of curiosity, what does the obverse side of your coin look like? Do you have any pics you can share with us?
i had two coins mixed up, the lama coin is from 1968 and exactly the same as the one pictured (yours), i was thinking it was this other middle eastern coin, sorry about the confusion, but thanks for the info..
