I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with the others. The rounded rims are just too even to have been caused by random hits in a dryer. You have to remember that a dryer is usually running when it is full of clothes. Would someone please explain how this could have occurred when contact substantial enough to have caused this is minimal at best? I say it has been "spooned". Chris
well letters are almost gone in god we trust and to me looks like its been crimp by a press but not sure that's why i asked and it has value or not and tks for all the reply's.
Definitely looks to have come in contact with some kind of acidic solution. Whatever the case or however the occurrence, it's still PMD. -Brian
Agreed. Dryer, spooned (though copper is tougher than silver to spoon), etc.... it's PMD any way you slice it.
