Opinions on these two coins I just got.

The Liberty Nickel is definitely cleaned. No luster, and NOT uncirculated. A decent AU details coin.

 

They're both nice looking coins. The only thing with the Liberty nickel I see is the scratches? around the date.

 

I agree with pacecar. They're both decent looking coins. what's that around the date on the nickel? Looks like scratches, but they're definitely not.

The 83 No Cents is often found in choice uncirculated condition. It was a first year type and as such was saved in quantities.

I don't know about the market on the nickel, but for what you spent you don't seem to have done badly at all.

The coin isn't perfect, but certainly doesn't look improperly cleaned.

What leads you to believe it has been cleaned?

I would be guessing from those images. A change in lighting and the coins could look much different.
