1956-D Lincoln Cent. Is this a strike-through on the obverse or PMD?

    Difficult to tell from your photos, but I would lean towards a struck through as I don't see displaced metal or other signs it was damaged after leaving the mint.

    I'm not an error guy but I want to learn on this piece so I figured responding would get me answers from the error guru's.... My first thought when I saw this one was a lamination issue that had separated.

    Yeah, when I first posted I was thinking a strike-through, but since you mentioned it, it could very well be lamination.

    My question is, does this depression have a flat or rounded shape? It appears rounded and that would more than likely be a strike through. I’m not seeing a sharp edge where a lamination would have broken off and a lamination would be flatter. It looks more rounded to me.
