Yeah I was a bit shocked on that one. I bid $5 on it as the first bidder and no one else bid so I won it for one cent. I paid more for shipping then the bid shipping was $2.95 lol.

Wow, that penny is amazing! I think everyone on this forum would have jumped on that. That coin is exactly why ebay is still around, simply the thrill of the hunt and every once in a while, treasures are indeed found!

I went by the coin shop I used to work at today looking for a started Roosevelt Dansco album and sure enough he had a few laying around. I combined some coins here and there to get one I was happy starting out with. I chose this book as the core though due to the toning on some of the dimes. Here are a couple with more to come.

What action was the 1962 proof from? I picked one up just like it not long ago. It graded PR67BN at PCGS.

It was about two weeks ago on eBay. Total price for it was .01 for the coin and 2.95 for shipping for a grand total of 2.96. Did I do ok on this one?

I don't see how you could have done better, unless he would have paid YOU!!

Anytime you can get a natural, off color, toned Lincoln proof for under $10 you are doing phenomenal.

I must have been asleep at the wheel to have missed it. Nice going.

Here is the one I picked up in April for $10. Looks very much like yours.

Nothing fancy for me. Just another raw jefferson. Sellers pics were terrible, but I could see it had some potential. I was right.

Two of my weekend junk bin finds... kinda pumped about these two, ha.

Pics suck, sorry in advance, both are nice, higher-end AU's. Paid $5 each.

I also picked up a dozen or so VF-XF Mercs from '37 and earlier for $2 each.

Wow, nice finds Merc. Here are the rest of the toned dimes from the set. One thing I've learned from this set is that I had no idea the strikes varied so widely on Roosevelt Dimes. It was actually quite surprising! No wonder the FT designation exists.

Most roosies (especially in the '70's and '80's) are struck like crap thanks to worn dies and weak striking pressure.

Just got one of the Kennedy key dates--1970D "silver" in original mint bag. Low mintage and one of the "Top 100 Modern Coins." Looks like high grade MS, and will get better pix when it arrives.

Damn, Merc, those are some sweet 32's! Especially for $5! Can't beat that! I don't think I have ever found anything in my dealer's junk bin from the 30's in that nice of shape!
