picked up $40 in mixed rolls form different banks and got 4 wheaties, and a possible 1998 wam (there's a nick right on the last number, but I think its an 8). Also, a full steps 1958 philedelphia nickel. Oh well, soon I'll be searching in Northport/Port Charlotte, FL. Anyone searching in that area?

Along with the half dollars from this morning, my $500 dime bag gave up a '52 and a '58 roosie:

After work today stopped by a couple banks to buy a couple dime boxes and do some quick turns before the banks closed. Stopped by a bank I haven't been to in a couple weeks and expected only to pick up a couple boxes for the weekend and maybe a penny or nickle box. I asked the teller if she had and halves, she said yea, I have $50. I said ok, I'll buy it. She had to ask the vault teller to assist her to get me the two dime boxes. I ask if they have any in halves in the vault, she says yes, about $1175.

And she adds, "I know there is silver because I dropped one and it broke and there was silver".

I said forget the dimes, give me the halves.

Bought as much as I could afford. $700. About 4 rolls in I found the roll she re-rolled. Guess which one was not a silver one.

About $250 of what she had were machine rolled. She gave me all the CR rolls she had. After going through it all I found 39 40% and 6 1964s. Best day I have had this year. Nice way to end a week as well. The fun part was as I was opening them I could hear the silver before I could see it. What a lovely sound.

    Part 2

I was going through my find rather quick when I came across this roll. There is a silver one in here. Can you guess which one from left to right?

Well, I almost missed it. After this roll, I decided it would be best to take the batch home and go through it a bit more carefully. Believe me, unless you were checking dates, you would have never spotted this one from the ends.

Made a bit of a side trip yesterday will on other business. $300 in cwr halves and a few loose from about 6 different stops. One 40% and one 90%. The 40% was in the first roll I checked and the 90% was in the last roll. Also picked up 15 ikes.

Yeah, 12th from the left. 7th from the left would have caught my eye, too. Nice score!

    Today for me:
Two boxes of halves: One 40%er. Interestingly, I was at this bank at the same time as their delivery from Garda came in. The thing is, this bank uses the black and white wrappers, while one of my normal banks that uses Garda has the yellow Strings & Sons wrappers. Hmmm...
    $4 loose halves: nothing
    $125 BWR dimes: 1986 S proof
    $190 CWR dimes: 2005 Barbados, 2008 Canadian
    $10 BWR nickels: nothing
$36 CWR nickels: One war nickel, 1986 Canadian, 1995 Brazilian 5 centavos, 1996 Mexican peso, 2007 Greek 5 Euro cent, 5762 (2002) Israeli 10 agorot, and a small nail.

Also saw my first 2012 quarter, a Denver Chaco Culture. The portrait of Washington looks awful.

    1) 2009 Puerto Rico.

    1) 2011 Glacier ATB.

I cannot remember, but based on where I live I believe they are both denver. I pretty much NEVER look at the obverse of State/Territory/ATB quarters unless they are 2012's (chance they are S's someone cashed in) or if they are proofs but I just want to double check.

My first guess was #7 without reading other posts. Upon those suggestions, #12 does seem to be the correct choice.

#10 looks like the culprit! Great score and what a juicy roll! The most I've ever seen in one roll is 5. Can't wait to get one so round, so firm, so FULLY PACKED! :p

Bad news/good news kind of day today. The bad news: they forgot to keep the dime bag from the coin counter for me.

The good news: They gave me everything in the coin reject bin, including a ton of euros, various eastern coins, various tokens, and a bunch of American coins totaling about $1.50 including a 1947 wheat penny:

Oh, and the tellers had a 1967 half in their trays:

$180 bag of nickels only produced a lonely '29 Buff. Did produce about a roll of higher-end BU's from the '70's and '80's, that was interesting. Now onto the $920.50 dime bag I got on my lunch...

I would check #7 and #12. If you are just edge checking, I suggest dropping them slowly in your hand for and ear test just to make sure.

I picked up a box of dimes today........Yep, 9 skunk dime boxes in a row. Unbelievable!!!

Bag produced 5 roosies and a '44 Merc. Good thing too, I was 3/4's of the way through the bag with just two roosies to show for it and was starting to get a little mad at dimes... they've been brutal lately.

    Weekly Results:

    Quarters (52 rolls): Wash x4
Dimes (4 boxes and 137 rolls): Roosie x16, Merc x1
    Nickels (2 boxes and 94 rolls): War x9, 1899 V Nickel, Buff x3
    Pennies (62 rolls): Wheat x32, Steel x1
    Halves (5 boxes and $88 loose/rolls): 40% x1
    And 1 Ike

This week was really horrible for halves, but great overall. For whatever reason a bunch of the Wells Fargos around me have been using a different dime supplier that is skunk city, but I still lucked out with Roosies from other boxes... including 6 from one box, my personal best. The 6 roosie box actually included a 46S which I needed for my album, but it was so bent that I can't fit it in the hole :( Total silver this week was 2.6069 ozt, almost as good as last week and still way better than my current weekly average of 1.89.

Other random finds of note: a RUST Kansas quarter (I've found about 5 or 6 of these so far this year), a nicely toned 1988 memorial cent, and as mentioned above an 1899 V Nickel in VG8 or VG10 as well as a steel cent from a CWR. This week I also found 5 wheat cents in a single BWR on two separate days, as well as a BWR of nickels that was almost solidly 1940s and 50s (but no war nickels). I did find two 46S, two 49S, and a 50 that went into my low mintage tube, and the rest went into my big box of pre60s.

Oh and of course the foreign: 91c Canadian, $3.52 Euro, 30p UK, 25c East Caribbean Dollar, $1 UAE, 10c Bermuda, 5c Bahamas, 25c Trinidad, and 10c Barbados

I'm gonna go back to 2-3 boxes of halves next week, mostly because I don't want to tick off the branch that takes all my halves. They actually mentioned today that I should just bring in everything in one shot instead of $400 per trip, so I might take them up on that tomorrow lol
