The USA has the Red Book, Canada has the Charlton Catalogue - so what is the equivalent for British Coins?
Spink - they publish a new one every year I believe. Just as a mention , France has Gadoury, the Netherlands has de nederlandse munten.
And Spain has Cayon and Cayon. Yeah, Spink for British. I get a new one every 7 years or so, kinda like my redbooks.
Sitting on my desk right next to me. Coins of England and the United Kingdom, 46th edition Standard Catalogue of British Coins 2011. Excellent source. Full color. I purchased a copy online from an eBay numismatic literature dealer.
I do not remember from which eBay dealer I purchased the 2011 Spink, but I have been making very good use of this reference of late and purchased a 2003 silver piedfort set.
Thanks everyone. I found an older copy on Amazon.ca which winds up being free for me (from an old credit I had there and couldn't use on the US site.)
