How many of you have ever had a banknote with the number '666' located anywhere in the serial number.I have got 2 - one from Pakistan,& one from Singapore. Aidan.
Gxseries, yes, that is correct. That is a very cool 1,000 Roubles issued by the Bank of Russia. It is a pity that my knowledge of the Cyrillic alphabet is so limited. At least I can tell the difference between Russian,Serbian,& Bulgarian coins & banknotes. Aidan.
I have been looking through alot of notes and the most three number repeters I have found are 666. It seems folks will keep even three number repeaters, IF they are not 666.
WE ARE ALL DOOMED!!!!!! Six people found a 666 in the hundreds of TRILLIONS of notes printed in the last decades. It must be a sign, Hezbollah Vs Isreal.......
Statistically speaking, one out of every 167 or so notes with an eight-digit serial number should include a "666" in said number.
I've seen a couple U.S. bills with that combo. I don't believe in that sort of stuff, so I don't bother keeping them.
I've also heard that 1 out of every 100 or so notes should be star note. Yet I have found none after looking at notes closely for some time. I seem to be getting the short end of the numismatic stick.
Star notes should turn up from time to time.I had a couple, but I posted them off to Switzerland to pay a guy for British postal orders issued in Fiji in US$ cash. Aidan.
Dont feel bad, I haven't found a star note yet since I found out what to look for (Thanks to Cointalk). I've never been a fan of collecting notes but I will keep any star notes I find from now on. Come to think of it I've never found a silver certificate in circulation either.
Funny thing, I just found a somewhat ratty looking star note the other day. Not very pretty, and almost ripped in two, but still...my first star note...lovely. And speaking of silver cetificates, I have never found one in circulation either, I don't know if very many have. I couldn't resist posting a picture of my star note..I'm so happy.
Back to the topic, someone presented me this set of US uncut notes as a bday present some time ago. Well well, what do you see?
Great bills for liar's poker. A full house in each bill. Although I don't know if you can play using an entire sheet...
