I have been looking since 1965 for 1956-D Wheat cent that is called 1956-D Shadow. What is your hardest to find Coin???
would this be it, or would it be a very worn mint mark? Not sure what this penny is, but could it be what you're looking for?
Well, it's my experince that if money is no problem, it isn't hard to find the coins you want. But if you, like me, are on a budget, then it's a bit more difficult to find nice specimens within your means. With that in mind, I'd say the hardest coin for me to find in MS condition at a price I could afford was a 1947 Canada dollar. I'm also working on a Canadian type set and the prices of Victorian silver in MS is astronomical, to I may have to set my goal a bit lower to AU (still expensive!)
Same for me, I haven't had trouble finding the coins that I want. I have trouble affording the coins that I want!
Does anyone remember the Lincoln 1954S San Jose? It was diecrack or break from the tail of the 5 and connecting to the S. It looked like a " J." I still have not found one.
I don't see anything on that 56-d cent. I like varieties you can actually see like a 1955 DD cent or a 42/41 dime.
Morgan 1893s that did not look like it had been run over by a truck. That was a chore (without having to spend $100,000).
