dipped kennedy half?

    who would dip a kennedy half? It looks electroplated, BTW.

    I remember someone in the roll searchers thread saying something about a chrome plated war nickel. Its definitely possible someone would do the same to a half dollar.

    Flip it over. You'll probably see an "S" Mint Mark indicating that its a proof coin. Copper Nickel Clad Proof Kennedy's can be found quite often in bank rolls.

    Yeah, doesn't look like a proof.
    It's just a plated half. I've found a lot of those. It's damage, as far as many are concerned, and worth face.
