Comment: How many rounds were you planning on going? (Elijahhenry10, Post #130)

Response: I designed the rules of this contest (and our previous slot machine contest) around an expected length of 30 days for the contest, and figured that there would probably be five days where I would be unavailable to spin the reels. So… hopefully… 25 rounds. In actuality, the contest will end when one of the following occurs: A total of $100 is paid to Jackpot Qualified players, per Rule #10. àPersonal or professional circumstances make it difficult for me to spin the reels on a regular basis. àThe Slot machine malfunctions and can not be repaired. My computer and/or internet access is lost due to circumstances beyond my control. This last one I hadn’t considered until very recently.

Comment: My first shot at the mapping, are there 20 symbols per reel? (Softmentor, Post #131)

Response: The machine in our previous contest had 20 symbols per reel, so it’s logical to assume that this machine has 20 symbols also. This is an assumption that caused me all sorts of angst when I was mapping the reels. I finally had to open up the door to the machine and look inside, before I figured out that this machine does not have exactly 20 symbols per reel.

Comment: How many bars are on reel 3? Dang they’re tough to spot! (Silentnviolent, Post #136)

Response: If you take the number of BARs on Reel #1, and subtract the number of BARs on Reel #2, then you will have the number of BARs on Reel #3. Now that you know the formula to answer your question, perhaps you won’t have to cheat and paste sticky notes on the reels, like I had to.

Comment: My second attempt with 21 symbols per reel… (K2coins, Post #145)

Response: Nice try, however, there are not exactly 21 symbols per reel on this machine, and there are not two consecutive LOCOMOTIVEs on any reel.

Hello Slot Players!
-----------------------------------------
We Had More Unexpected Problems Today,
But We Were Able To Work Our Way Through Them.

:smile
------------------------------------------
First, The Reels Jammed After Spin #1
See The File Titled 'Slot Drama #1'

The machine was acting like it needed a coin
Inserted To Spin The Reels, so...
I actually inserted a Morgan Dollar into the Machine!

See Me Insert The Silver Dollar In The Video Titled 'Slot Drama #2'
And Nope, the reels still would not spin.

Then, after opening the machine...
And saying a few things that I won't print here...
And looking around helplessly...

I discovered the problem!

See The Video Titled 'Slot Drama #3'
Oh my!

And finally, I was able to Spin The Reels Again...
See The Video Titled 'Slot Drama #4'

Or Prize Qualified
For Our Next Round

-----------------------------------------

New Players Are Welcome To Play
Do Not Edit Your Posts

Only Coin Talk Members Who Were Registered
On Or Before 5-31-2012
Are Eligible To Participate

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I May Just Decide To Take Tomorrow Off.
If I do, The Contest Will Resume On Tuesday.

Try To Not Duplicate Previous Guesses.

There Are only 64 Possible Different Guesses...
And Since 16 Of Those Guesses Are really Lousy Guesses...
There Are Only 48
Decent Guesses...

So Guess Early, And Don't Duplicate!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You May Begin Posting Your Guesses
For Round #6 Now

I'll Be Sure To
Plug In The Machine
Next Round!

- Good Luck -

MAPPING THE REELS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!

I'm thinking that it has to be either 18, 22, or 24 symbols per reel.
Best bets on 24, and I only have around that number for one of the reels (I'm not saying which one ).
I have six pages front and back covered in the words; Blank, Loco, Melon, and Bar.
I think i should take some Advil and give it a rest .
This is the only thing keeping my mind occupied now that school is over. :smile
