Can someone explain the mule KM 86.2 to me?

Would it have the obverse of a 1973 $10 Olympic Commemorative (ie; Queen Elizabeth II)? Or does the error lie in the date (1974 instead of 1973)?

I was at a jewelers the other day, and when I asked about foreign coins, the proprietor brought out a coin in a flip labeled KM 86.2. He is preparing to send it off for slabbing, because his (older) Krause just shows what I think are the two reverses that were made in 1973. He was thinking anything with QE on it would be a mule. I didn't know of a kind way to tell him that he was wrong (and I wasn't 100% certain that he was).

    86.2 is 86.1(World map) with a 1974 dated obverse.

So, the obverse would show Queen Elizabeth with the 1974 date, right? I think the jeweler is about to send a 86.1 off for slabbing, thinking he has an 86.2...
