Anyone know what the current value of a 1916 German East africa Pound is. I have see one and wouldn't mind having a go at it. Old price list states $2000 but guy on the web said they are selling for more in Germany now.
Depends on the grade of course - according to a current price guide (moneytrend 2/2006) the coin costs €1100 in ss (VF), €1900 in vz (EF), €2200 in st (unc). Prices vary since these are gold pieces, and not exactly available in abundance.
