The only reason I could think was that it was a 38 reverse, and for a 38 reverse the steps look great. But to me it looks like it's probably the reverse of 40. Anyone else think this is a 40 rev? Or am I wrong?

The price it sold for isn't far off in general. The 39-D is somewhat of a key date. $60 is MS-63 range, which I think that nickel's grade is at least.
