I work part time as a cashier and today as I was ringing up this lady her total came up to something and 8 cents. So, she takes out her change, grabs a nickel and she has 4 pennies in her hand. I see that one is clearly and indian head, but unfortunately she grabbed the 3 that weren't. What are the odds? I was pretty upset but not much I could've done.
the odds are 3/4 lol but she probably knew. I have no way of knowing but my guess is that its her pocket piece, a lucky penny.
Ask her if it's a 1907. I put a bunch of those into circulation last year. I like to spend (or leave as tips) cull Indian Cents, dateless Buffalo Nickels, and Ike Dollars. Waitresses love 'em. -The Coin Trader
HAHAHA Maybe it brings a bit of nostalgia for older waitresses or it's an oddity to younger ones. However I've known lot's of waitstaff both male and female and none ever loved hauling around tip change. Most turn it in to the restraunt at the end of their shift for bills.
