This week, after a long period of uncertainty, Yost will finally be reunited with the money. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/14/texas-city-lets-homeless-_n_1594941.html
It's sad how they automatically assumed he broke the law. Just because you're homeless doesn't mean every time you get money, you stole it.
Interesting story. Too bad he is in jail right now. Hopefully, when he gets out, he will not use the money for booze and instead use it to turn his life around. TC
There has been a rash of burglaries involving people's coin collections. Rather than sad, I am glad the teller was on the ball and alerted the authorities. Just because the owner wasn't found, doesn't mean the coins weren't stolen. But I still say good for him, I just hope he doesn't blow it all on a drunken binge.
Ya, I read that story and posted at a different forum. nice windfall...but I would not want my name in the paper.
Wy dont he hire the law offices of jack daniels & capt morgan to get him out with all that money ? (0:
Wow. I wonder how that money got there. I wonder if it was stolen before he found it. I also wonder what the dates were on the notes. This would certainly provide some insight as to where they came from if they were stolen. If not, that's a sweet score!
I hope he buys a car and drives around and steals from those who are making fun of him and never gets caught. We're all a couple of bad decisions away from his situation. Public intoxication? He has no home, of course he's in public when he's wasted! You're no different just because you do it in your basement.
