A couple rolls worth of halves... nothing. Picked up 31 ikes.

 

Results for this week so far:

Pennies: Some coppers, 1927D, 3 from the 50s
Nickles: A few 50s/40s, nothing rare
Dimes: Skunk
Quarters: 1964D, and a Chinese coin probably, guy with a beard in odd hat; 1980S from a proof set some idiot broke up.

Being in Los Angeles, I always get the D stuff with no problem, the Ps not so easy to get. Three State/ATB quarters have been the P first, otherwise always the Ds.

2012 P Nickle, dime I do not have. Some of the dollars I need Ps, as well as some ATB quarters. If any East Coast folks have the opposite problem and want to swap a coin or two reply.

Box of halves: 1 1953 Franklin and 1 1969D Kennedy. The bad part was the Franklin was the first roll I opened so I was hoping for a great haul.

 

I've found 1 V Nick. And it was the only keeper in the box, other than the various worn older Jeffs. No war, no buffs. But 1 V nick. I immediately got excited and showed my wife. Her reaction was feigned interest... "Ahhh... that's good... right?..."

Had an awful day personally and am finding it incredibly hard to stay positive. Aside from that, I managed a box of dimes - skunk.

Thank you, Inquisitive. I can say that I just had one thing go in my direction that I'd been seriously stressed about and was quickly resolved with a simple phone call. That's always nice! Now I can head out for some halves! Hopefully, the 'silver fairy' will sprinkle some dust on that box.

Got 2 boxes of halves yesterday, both skunks. Thankfully I have another box on order for tomorrow, and I ordered 2 more from one of my pickup banks next week.

The good news is that the bank that ordered the 2 boxes for me for yesterday called me this morning to see if I'd like to order any for next week, and another of my pickup banks informed me today that they actually ordered a box "just in case" that I can also pick up tomorrow.

So instead of 2 boxes this week and 2 boxes next week, I'm ending up with 4 this week and 3 (so far!) for next. Hopefully I don't skunk out on those too

What are laminated coins?

 

Some sort of plastic residue, but it wasn't PVC. Laminated.
