Hello, I recently bought a set of George VI threepences (whole set can be seen in newest foreigh acquisition) The one that stood out the most in buying the set was this 1946 threepence (keydate), as the title suggests I am looking for opinions on the value and grade, I have my own but would like to see others to compare. Some info: Krause: 1946 Mintage-621,000 F-4.00 VF-16.00 XF-125 UNC-600 (Dollar prices) Coins of the UK: 3d 1946 F-6 VF-25 EF-125 UNC-400 (British Pound prices) Thanks in advance
No, I don't think it's been harshly cleaned at all. Nor does it have any luster - none. It appears to be a well circulated, one with a lot of wear, quite ordinary coin.
It must be the picture, I did take it on my windowsill (natural light). It looks different in hand and to be honest I am pretty bad at taking photos of coins But thanks for your help
ow - never in my life have I seen a low VF coin that had any luster. It's not the pics. Here's one that is AU, and has luster - http://www.blackmountaincoins.com/p/BMC/c-/1943_GBR_10165.html
