    So Many Choices

If I had $500.00, authorized for spenditure by the boss, (my wife) I would try and purchase a 1916D mercury dime or a 1936 proof mercury or a 1950 proof Franklin PF65. To say the least for that kind of money "I want to get my moneys worth".

    Wow Bacchus,

Back in 2005, you would have made a great decision with your $500 bucks:)

Well considering he has not been online since 2009 he will probably miss the message. Then again it would have depended on how long he held it before he sold. :)

A silver buffalo commem, a 1/10 gold eagle and then I'd take my wife out to eat with the extra fifty bucks and tell her about my good fortune.

I think I would take the nickel cause full step seem to be rare for the year. There doesn't seem to be many of them around while 1928 dollar you can only get AU, you might want to upgrade it later if you bought the peace dollar, it would seem to be much easier to upgrade a 1928 peace dollar than 1954-s full step nickel

Well, first you get a Delorean, add a flux capacitor, drive it at 88 mph and.....

Yeah, those FS nickels were just a fad. They are hardly worth anything in 2012:)

It is really interesting to see opinions 7 years ago and see how they panned out.

I'd get the nicest 1875 S twenty cent piece that $500 would buy. It would round out the "oddball" section of my type collection (2,3, and 20 cent pieces).
