This is my nickel. There are many like it, but this one is mine. However I would like some oppinions on the grade of my nickel. I paid 55.00 for it, and i think it will make a nice coin for my book.
You didn't finish it: "This is my nickel. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My nickel is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. Without me, my nickel is useless. Without my nickel, I am useless." Loved that movie...
$55?! When did you buy it? The one I got a year ago (also type I) is in similar condition/grade but got a bit more attractive look, I paid $15 including international shipping... Am I missing something here or prices really changed?
Holy smokes, they did go way up. PCGS has $58 for a F-12 and $75 in 40. I do realize that PCGS is a bit inflated, no need to let me know.
I generally agree. The reverse is better than the obverse; nice horn and split tail. If the obverse details can be attributed to a worn die you might even reach XF. But as is, VF seems correct.
