Looks like i posted to the wrong area so i will repost sorry about that.
I am trying to find the real value of a 1938 San Marino L.20 silver coin. I do know that only 2500 were minted in silver( accordig to the net) and 5 made in platinum.I would think it is a least ms60. I called a acution house about the coin and they said they were interested then after sending them pictures they said a lot of counterfeit's of this coin were made. now i dont know if i should send it to them or not.Phot 1938 san marion L.20 007.jpg . 1938 san marion L.20 003.jpg 1938 san marion L.20 005.jpg 1938 san marion L.20 004.jpg os enclosed

    Welcome to Coin Talk :smile

Have you checked the weight and diameter of the coin? Correct is 15 grams and 35.5 mm.

I agreee with auction house, there are many fakes of this coin, and looking your I have some doubts, expecially about the edge...please compare it with the photo of this site

This, in fact, could be the problem, but by photo it's difficult to be sure.
If you want, I can show your coin in an Italian numismatic forum, to have opinion of collectors more experts than me, but I also need picture of the edge.

A photo like this, if it's possible
