I think the seated counts for at LEAST 5 roosies itself!

Maybe VF-20? I'm not really an expert, somebody may have a better grade. The color's a bit weird though.
I wouldn't send it in, personally. I don't think it's more than a $10-15 coin at the most.

  4. Yesterday two boxes of nickels 1st skunk second 2 wars and 2 errors? What do you guys think On the first one ?
The second one is a circulated proof in the deep areas still have mirror but is hard to capture in pic but the thing is that it is D mint mark I haven't see any 76 d proofs lol

First one looks like a CUD to me. Nice find.

In $30 of BWR nickels, I found a 44-P, a couple decent pre-60s and a decent 1921 Buffalo (I'll try to get a pic of it tonight).

I've been having better luck with the BWR versus the CWR recently.

I've typically searched a box or two of nickles and halves a month, and some loose rolls occasionally. Decided to do my first box of dimes yesterday, and I wasn't disappointed!

    First roll...1944 Merc!
    Second roll...1943 Merc!
    Third roll...1943S Merc!

I was like "whoa I gotta do these dime rolls more often!"

Things slowed after that, but I found a few more. A 1962 Canadian in the 5th roll. A 1965 Canadial and a 1962-D Roosie in the later rolls.

6 silver dimes in the box total...26 non-silver Canadian and a 5 pence.

A great box, but it was stunning pulling the three Mercs out in the first three rolls :)

Its a VF, but higher than 20. Still has sharp details on the obverse. I can't tell as much on the reverse cause of the pic. I think its a VF 25-30, but no, not worth slabbing.

    Awesome find though!

I have often read how y'all find proofs. I have always been bewildered by that because I can't imagine someone taking a proof set, opening it up, and tossing it into circulation. But then.... Yesterday.... that 1979 sure looked like mirror... didn't look like just laundry clean... checked the mint mark.... S... Yes! 1979-S Jefferson AND an nice clear S (type II) !! Too bad it has light wear taking it down to about an AU 55
makes me wonder how many S mint I may have missed because I really haven't been checking them.

I'd call it an VF35-XF40, looks like a nice, $20 example to me. So worth 10 roosies. I'd trade 10 roosies for it. ;)

Good to be back, by the way, but I'm sure it won't last.

    Interesting haul today

    Box 1 - skunk
    Box 2 - skunk
    Box 3 - 9 x 40% and 117 x 2006/2007
    Box 4 - 3 x 40% and 44 x 2006/2007

Clearly someone dumped a bunch of NIFC 2006/2007s so I'm guessing it was someone elses collection. I sure wish they were all silvers but we pulled them, counted them and then threw them back in the dump bag

$500 bag of dimes, a 50% canadian and a '58 roosie. I'll be picking up two partial bags this weekend, and then it's off to Canada for the annual fishing trip for the week!

These are not really roll searches per se but this is what I have pulled from the till at work this year so far (5 months)
    *1 Eisenhower Dollar
    *1 2005-D Kennedy Half
    *2 90% Silver Washington Quarters
    *4 90% Silver Roosevelt Dimes
    *1 Canadian Commem Dime
    *5 35% Silver Wartime Nickels
*1 Gem BU 1947-D Jefferson Nickel
    *2 Dateless Buffalo Nickels
    *1 1942 Tombac Canadian Nickel
    *35 Wheat Cents
Various foreign coins, (mainly the size of a quarter and passed off as a quarter)
and the best of the lot---1869 Three Cent Nickel, unfortunately cleaned and buffed to a fake shine but a decent pull for ten cents IMO.
    Happy Hunting!! Matt
