This is my dream lot on ebay but its a little bit over mycoin money amount well maybe more then a little bit lol number 330007856987
Wow...I just spent the last 15 minutes looking through that hoard. That's incredible. It's nice to dream sometimes, isn't it? pCG
just for fun i always look at highest price first on ebay and see great single coins and lots like that what do you think that lot will get up to? its got like an day and 22 hours
Some of the other lots they ran hit six figures. I'd guess this one will do the same. It's certainly worth it.
The first past lot ($100K+) contained a $10,000 bill. That might have made the lot worth it right there, though the pictures are dead so it could have been a worn bill (still worth a bit though).
Wow. I had no idea something of that scale would be listed on ebay. Then, I don't really look at ebay very often. That was a joy to look through, though. Thanks for the post!
Coins! How much fun would that be to look thruogh all those coins? I would constantly be going..look at this one...wow, look at this one. One thing I noticed was that other than the slabbed coins, the collection seemed to focus on quantity, rather than quality. Still, that would be so overwhelming to go through.:rolling:
similar to what you are saying viper is if i won one of those big poker tournaments with all that cash i would love looking threw it for errors stars and cool serial numbers
If I won one of those big poker tournaments with all that cash, I would encourage my accountant to look through it for "errors stars and cool serial numbers" while I was out relaxing on my yacht.
OH MY GOD!!! I mean WOW... :thumb: I'd pay just to take a look at all this! Wish I had that money... :vanish: Max :vanish:
That much might become pretty laborious, which wouldn't be fun. I once bought 500 world coins (nothing special, mostly low denom. current) and I still haven't gone through all of them. When I do find some time to go through them, I usually end up feeling it's more like a job than an enjoyable activity. Guess I'm not that into modern world coins, heh. Point is, there's so much... And along those lines of "there's so much" ... I find it hard to even come up with an offer. What would one bid on something like that? Would $60,000 be a good deal? Would $90,000??? Would that be $30,000 too much? How much is any of that really worth? You almost assume that it's so much that anything would be a good deal, but what the heck would you do with $100,000+ worth of... who really knows what? It seems it would make sense to split it up. Original Picasso paintings (in theory anyhow) in the same lot as worn Merc. dimes??? At least the paintings in one lot, the raw junk silver in another, etc.
I really wouldn't want a lot like this off ebay....I'm pretty sure that someone has already gone through it and pulled out all but maybe 1 or 2 good coins....I would much rather go and buy a collection from someone in town that more than likely doesn't know a thing about coins. But heck...if I had 28k+ I would like to do alot of things. Speedy
WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! If I had a few extra bucks lying around ($100,00 or so LOL) I would buy this, no problem! But I have about $50, not even enough to ship this, so I'll just dream along with you guys!
do i get it right? they are doing this because they hope that the HYPE will get the winning bid higher than if they sold it in smaller lots?
Yes a dream of many numismatists-just to be able to lay on piles of coins and toss them over your head with glee and satisfaction.
If I were selling something like that I'd be very nervous about getting the high bid from a 3-feedback buyer who has spent less than $50 before bidding on this lot.
