While previously working on my 1944-S and 1945-S Mercury dimes, I switched to working on completing my Eisenhower dollar collection.
All I need now is one more IKE finish them.
Then I decided to go back to m Mercury Dimes. Everything was okay until I could not find my 1944-S AND 1945-S dimes. Well, I looked everywhere. After 2 weeks of searching and after the third or fourth try I started checking every album, 3-ring binder, coin folder. There they were in a 20 pocket page in my Roosevelt Dime 3-ring binder. 16 Mercury head all UNC's and some with Full Bands.

Now post your experiences with not being able to find any of your coins or currency. THANKS. --- zeke

Are you saying you still need a 44-S and 45-S?

Yes and it is a sign you have too many coins. :) Send me the extra's.

In my case it was a 31-S cent. One of these days I will get an album. Now besides my albums I have maybe 40-50 coins. Pretty much everything else has been sold.

No, I don't need anymore 44-S or 45-S mercs. Having the ones I have (20) is almost too much now. No, but I do need the
same ones everyone else needs: 16,D, and all the other 'D MINT' years like 17, 18, 19, 21, etc. Showing below is the first page of my merc album.

I hid by gold coin in a spot not in my collection then couldn't find it. Tore the room apart. Dropped my SLQ into my sock drawer in a white case. Had to tear the room apart for that too.

I slipped a 45 micro S into a sorting cup (it was still in a flip) instead of in my error and variety page that I use to compare with. Took me a few months, but it did turn up.

I am still looking for a 1943 1/2 Rupee (L). I had some interest from someone wanting to swap for it. I took some pics and lost the coin. lol It'll turn up eventually..........or not.

Those are some sorry tales. It is so frustrating not to be able to backtrack and find your coins or currencey to the place where you left it. But the again we're just human, WOOF, WOOF!

I was doing my IKES and getting confused and tired due to the hour. So I stopped and quit for the night. It took me several hours
to fix all the mistakes I had created the previous night.

Mine was 1900 Barber half, I was it listed on my inventory list but I could not remember buying it, So I checked and there it was. Now what's really the kicker I had seen it on my list an for a few YEARS I never bother looking for I was sure it was a mistake. 1900 Barber Half PCGS.jpg

I dropped a Morgan in a 2x2 in the car and it fell under the seat. Tore the house apart looking for it since I swear I brought it in with the other coins I got that day. Found it after a bit but I was so sure it came in with me. Wierd.

I think I threw away a beautiful 1856 Seated Half Dime in a plastic slab (Not graded) while cleaning my room. Not getting that back.

Wow that sucks. The worst that has happened to me is losing a junk silver roosie.
