Hello just looking for any information about misprinted Canadian currency-I have two 1991 twenty dollar bills in sequence that have been misprinted. The gold symbol with the twenty in it are both at the top of the bill not just below. In 1991 I withdraw some money from the bank machine and as I was counting the money I noticed these 2 (thought they were fake)had the bank manager verify them then contacted bank of Canada who in return investigated and contacted me a couple weeks later saying I have misprinted money. The twenties were all in sequence and those 2 were the only ones affected. Thanks Dan
Dan,these are good items.Any banknote with a major misprint error can be worth a lot of money,as there are some avid collectors of any error banknotes, not just British Commonwealth ones. Aidan.
My Charlton paper money catalogue shows a value of $200.00 for this type of error. This would be for a bill in uncirculated condition so the actual value would depend on the condition of your note. Bill
Dan,no problem! If there is a British Commonwealth-related numismatic subject, chances are I usually know enough to be able to answer any questions. Aidan.
