My NEWPS I just won these about 10 minutes ago. The auction is still live so I will post any more CAC coins I win later.
Here's a couple of coins I used to own in old PCGS holders that I thought were maybe undergraded. Didn't want to lose the older holders by doing a regrade so I ended up just sending them in to CAC for stickers... got one of each color!
This coin has MS65 surfaces on the obverse. I never like the surface preservation on the reverse which is MS64/65 at best. The reason for the assigned grade is that the coin has premium gem luster, an exacting strike, and superb overall eye appeal. My only problem with a coin like this is that a 1936 Mercury Dime in MS66 FB is so common, why bother messing around with one like this. I actually won this coin in a forum giveaway and sold it long ago. Paul
No real opinion on CAC one way or the other. I don't mind it on this slab as it is a special coin to me. Matt
My only other CAC sticker in my Lincoln collection. I purchased many of them before the company was created. I'm sure many of them would be awarded CAC approval if I submitted them, it just doesn't seem worth the hastle, but with the way things are going, it might be worth it if I was planning to sell. If I could get them all to a show together and they could do it on site, I would consider it. Matt
Do u hve to give your coins to dealers and have them submit them to where ever they need to go to get a CAC sticker? Or can anyone submit the coins themselves?
Any dealer who has a CAC membership as CAC closed new membership applications over a year ago, according to their website.
