One of my guys bought this today. Looks like someones good luck piece. I'm thinking about submitting it seeing how NGC hasn't graded a silver eagle under AU53.

Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

Pocket that thing for a couple months with some change and get it lower! That's a perfect pocket piece for a lowball registry collector.

You'd be lucky to get a 'fine' designation with my '02.........:)

I've had mine in my pocket for four or five years now. Great conversation piece at the checkout counter. :)

It would be interesting to see how low it might grade. Nice pieces on the ones posted here.

i wonder how long you would have to carry it around to re-create that kind of wear...
    i like the circulated look..

You should keep holding on to it until it gets down to AG- 3, then send it in to get graded

I'm surprised it hasn't lost more weight than that. Of course we don't what the actual weight was when it started.

I like the scale too. What is the precision in grams?

    I bought a 1999 ASE last night.

I'll get in next week and the long process will begin.

It's a heck of a scale... We use it to measure diamonds and it's accurate to .005ct. I think it takes grams out 4 or 5 places... I don't remember but I can check.

Nahhhhhhhh - it can't be Matt. It's impossible. Everybody knows that coins lose weight with wear

I thought a few people might like to see that.

Now for the fun question... what numerical grade would you assign this one?

Don't be silly. Everyone knows that a stack of fifty slick Barber dimes weighs exactly as much as a roll of gem 1964 Roosies. :)
