I've never even heard of a Penny Arcade machine, much less seen one. I don't believe they have them down here.

I pull alot of Canadian off the magnet but neither a Loonie or Twoonie before. I think that is the first post in this thread about scoring either one of those. They must be somewhat rare to find in the US?

I've found quite a few. And this was IN the reject slot, the machine rejects all foreigns (to the bets of my knowledge).

I'm finally with TD now. I used the penny arcade this morning and was able to feel up into the reject tube enough to touch one of the collection bags. No trapped coins tho. I've noticed that the entire feeder slot on top (not sure of the proper name) can be lifted up. Didn't lift it all the way up cuz I didn't want to attract any unwanted attention. Is this where the magnet is located? Can someone throw together a diagram?

No TD banks around here, must be a NE bank.

Texasfan, they are in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Metro D.C., the Carolinas and Florida.

Today I went to Hannaford Markets in Red Hook, NY, Thats upstate, Dutchess county and Saw a coin star machine. Walked over and found a Canadian Dime. Nothing else. People don't care for canadian coins. I have friends that go to Canada and when I know they are going I give them a hand full of change.

Two roosies ('60, '62) & a '64 quarter, but the machine ate two halves ($1 worth)

Found a nickle, 2 quarters, and a presidential/sac dollar. They were way up on the feeder belt of the counter under the hood so I didn't see them, but my receipt says they were there. A nice $1.55 score!

First reject slot find in a long time. Nothing too special though. 6 cents Canadian, and a 1925 D wheatie. Somewhat lower mintage #s on that.
Anybody know why a non-1943 wheat would be rejected? I'm assuming just coincidence.

I think it was a coincidence. The coin counter at my bank rejects all foreign and mutilated coin, but every time I dump I also end up with a handful of regular clad dimes that get rejected. If I run them through the counter again they are taken.

    Sort of a reject find...
In the garbage can by the coin counter: 1 Canadian nickel, 6 Canadian quarters, 1 Indian Rupee. All modern, nothing special.
Still don't understand why people just throw these in the garbage.
And it just had paper waste in it other than those. I wasn't digging through nasty stuff.

People are silly throwing away money just because they can't spend it where they live. Travel broadens the mind!
