Have you ever? I was considering putting together type set collections for several different countries. I started with Canada, then Mexico. There books were not too hard to find, however I thought they they cost about twice what they were worth. Then I started Australia and Great Britain, they were harder too find and again cost too much. The other day I started thinking about a Panama type set collection, and I found a Dansco Book on ebay. I do not believe that with over 2 hours left the book, which is empty, is over $300 and climbing! The book is worth more than the coins to go in it. Whats up with that? Have you ever?

I dont understand why, if someone is willing to pay this amount of money for an outdated type set book, Dansco and Whitman or any other company hasnt started remaking them.

Agreed. I'm surprised that there isn't a vendor from China offering them on Ebay.

It was kind of cool. I clicked the Ebay link and there were 10 seconds left in the auction so I watched it sell to the 17th bidder.

Type sets are pretty much what I collect, excluding few very rare cases.

Never even considered getting a special "book" for it, especially one that goes for $305. I`m doing great with these:
