Thailand has quite a range of commemorative 10 Bhat coins and they are not expensive so quite nice to collect
Yeah, every 10 baht is a commemorative of something, opening a hospital, princess graduating, etc. I don't know if any country in the world has the diversity of coins Thailand has. I have hundreds of different types and not even close to having them all. Btw, its properly called the 50th anniversary of King Rama IX, who I believe is the longest reigning monrach in the world. He came to power in 1947. He seems like a good guy, his older brother was assasinated before he could take the thrown, but Rama IX posthumously made his brother King Rama VIII and struck coins in his honor. Kings Rama I-IV only struck "bullet money", but kings Rama V-IX are available as western style coins.
