John Reich Collectors Society Anyone ever hear of these people? They should a bit like a temperance organization. http://www.jrcs.org/ The purpose of the John Reich Collectors Society (JRCS) is to encourage the study of numismatics, particularly United States gold and silver coins minted before the introduction of the Seated Liberty design, and to provide technical and educational information concerning such coins. TheJohn Reich Journal is edited by Bradley S. Karoleff and is the official publication of the Society. Selected back issues of the Journal are available to members in good standing. An on-line index is updated with the contents of recent issues. Each year the membership votes for the best article published in the previous year. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Is it worth reading?
Yes . I would recommend purchasing some back issues, for some very well written articles. You just reminded me, my membership is due for renewal.
It is an extremely secretive society like the masons, just kidding. Their best publications, old articles on various Bust coin topics are very good and scholarly, you have to order them, they are not online.
Well worth the price of admission. I believe you can still request a free copy of the journal, but for $25 (IIRC) you might as well join.
If you have an interest in the pre-steam press gold and silver coin of the US and in varieties then you should be a member. They are a lot like EAC except for silver and gold.
