1971 s lincoln letters on reverse has lines in the middle ??

this 1971 s lincoln has lines in the letters at first i thought md but all of the machine double i've seen have been on the outside egde but these are not maybe cod dye or what i need some insight on this one

wow i thought for sure someone could tell me what cause the error here but i'm still puzzled if anyone comes up with a opinion let me know thanks

 

You were right with MD. It can happen on any side.

 

true i've seen it on both sides but never in the middle of the letter

 

It's not as uncommon as you might think. Especially when the dies get old and worn.

 

well thats ok i'll put it with the rest of my stack of md of course i geuss we have one or two thanks for the info

 

i found a great 2009 boot strap today and that makes my day and the crack is hugh and coin is super shape so that makes it worth wild
