That is a very hard one to see but the true DDO 2004 P has the peace reverse and to me is most visible in the 00 of the date. You can also identify it with the corners of the stars being slightly split. I have 5 of these slabbed and an additional 20 or so raw. I saw some guys asking around $250 and up when they were first discovered but do not know what anyone would be willing to pay for one now. I'll try to get you a picture.

Here's the quickest way that I found them and it was looking at the 00 in the date. They looked mushy. You can also see a slight split at the end of the crosslet in the 4 and on the stars. Its hard to see.

This nickel does not have the peace reverse and it's just a case of mdd but thanks for your help.

Then it must have the Keelboat Reverse in which case there's a strong possibility that it's NOT a DDO but another machine doubled coin.

Another case of machine doubling i was thinking that in the back of my mind but all the photos that i have seen on this ddo the doubling of letters has been slight.

While this is true, the doubling still has to be hub doubling and NOT machine doubling.

When you encounter true hub doubling, you'll know it simply because it has a completely different "look" than machine doubling.
