If you take your time $ could be better than eBay $

Wow I missed this yesterday!:foot-mouth:! If they grade PR-68-69 maybe 70UD by Pcgs the full set could go for a lot more.if you had Stacks or a coin seller like them have them get all graded. eBay $ well could be what 1 one coin of the USSR set could sell for if you wanted to take your time.:thumb:1400 is a very low mintage plus gold:kewl:

How much does it cost to get them graded?

Nevermind looks like its about $30 a coin.

Still undecided. So worried about getting scammed on ebay as I always hear bad things, yet I never sold anything on ebay, so everyone is going to think I am a scammer. Haha.

Grr...I don't want to sell it to a store though, because they want to make money off of it which means that will pay half of what that think its worth.

Maybe it is best just to hold onto it.

Best to hold onto it unless you really need the money. As mentioned, this is a rather scarce set and it's not a set that pop up on the market very often. A lot of them I have seen were unfortunately broken up and there are people out there who are willing to pay good price for original sets.

I agree with gxseries comment. Hold onto the coins in the original packaging with all original certs (if applicable) unless you really need the money.

When you decide to sell, you might do better by having them certified & sold in a higher-end auction like Heritage, Goldberg, etc in the USA. In this case, the auction house may have the coins slabbed for you or will sell them as a group accurately described in their catalog. [Always read the fine print when you provide coins to an auction house & make sure that you do not need to buy back your own coins in the event they do not sell].

Sets may not necessarily go for more especially in ebay for Russian coins, i have seen Ballerina and other sets go for less than what the individual pieces combined had gone for.
