Very new to paper money collecting of any type. With a run size of 3,200,000 and not being rare, when do lower serial numbers become worth holding on to? Basically I have a 1996 $20 with a serial number AD00006077*. Is that considered to be a low serial number and worth saving? It's in what I would call VF condition. Thanks in advance.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Notes with at least 4 leading zeros are considered low numbered. The more leading zeros, the better. In my opinion, your note is a keeper.

It's low enough that I would keep it. Plus being a star note makes it more interesting to some collectors. Keeper in my book. Can you post a pic?

Thanks for the replies. Now looking at the pictures, it is a little rough.

Great low serial, star note circulation find. It might not be worth a lot in it's condition, but I would keep it.

Thank you. I just moved to north jersey and the PNC bank really seems to produce quite a lot of star notes compared to the bank where I used to live.

Thanks, I am going to keep it. I have one other $10 star note so my collection is up to two bills.

A keeper in my book! Although in the past I have done differently.

I got a Gem Unc $20 GL 00066600 * from an ATM and sold it on ebay for quite a lot! I can't find a pic of it anymore. Ebay deleted those old listings, and I even contacted the buyer with no result.
