Dropped letter "T"? Nothing else looks out of place except for the area above the T and a rim ding.

Step 1: Get a die set and pull out the letter T die.
Step 2: Place die on penny and hit with hammer.

It is possible this may be a real dropped letter coin . the messed up area above the T could have been a part of the
debris that had the die clogged and remained with the T when the die become unclogged. this T looks to be the T from
the word CENT on the reverse die. a error expert would have to examine the coin in hand to be sure if it is real or a fake.

But, you have to have a stamp set with the same font and size as what looks to be the T in CENT on the reverse. The mark above the T is a bit sketchy IMO, if you blow up your pic it almost looks like the top of another T.

The T is a pretty good match, but its that area above it that is questionable. Sent it off to Mike Diamond so I'll know for sure after he has a looksy...

I'm really sorry to hear that , I was hoping you had a real dropped letter coin.
some folks will try to fake about anything and a in hand examination by someone that knows coins good is the best way to know for sure.
